Smorgie’s second location is now open in downtown Minneapolis, very close to Target Center. In case you haven’t yet visited the flagship spot, which is right across from the Grand Casino Arena (I guess we’re calling it that now?) in downtown St. Paul, Smorgie’s is all about affordable bar fare—$10 to $12 burgers and sandwiches, fried pickles, cheese curds, all that good salty crispy stuff.

MPLS ST PAUL MAGAZINE
"The space is expansive and ready for large groups. With room for about 220 people, there's lots of seating areas, a long bar, and garage doors that will open to a patio."

The Smorgie's Board, which comes with onion rings, fresh-cut cheese curds, mini corndogs, Swedish meatballs and your choice of a smash burger or chicken sandwich, is the priciest menu item at $22.
Everything else on the menu, such as tater-tot hot dish, sloppy Joe's, a Kentucky Fried Chicken-style bowl and more, is priced under $15.
Drinks are also priced near the lower end of the downtown bar scene, ranging from $6-$8 for tap beers and $12 for the priciest signature cocktail.

PIONEER PRESS
The menu is a “smorgasbord” of comfort foods — think French onion dip, tater tot hotdish, sloppy joes, smash burgers, Swedish meatballs and even Smorgie’s take on a KFC bowl. For dessert, there will be a variety of church basement bars — how Minnesotan can they get?
Everything on the menu is less than $15, with most entrees landing around $10.
